Ragefire has been merged onto Vox, and any characters you had on Ragefire are now accessible from Vox, unless you chose to move them to another server prior to today.

Below is a reposting of the list of changes, as well as a brief list of answers to some of the questions you may still have.

Naming Conflicts

If, because of the server merge, two or more characters have the same name, the conflict was resolved as follows:

  • The player who has logged into their character within 60 days before the merge retained the original character name. If there was still a conflict, the character with the highest number of minutes played retained the original character name.
  • The renamed characters will have additional letters at the end of their name and have been flagged for a free rename. Characters who have been renamed can open the rename window to pick a new name with /changename chat command.

Guild Transfers

  • Guilds and guild halls remained intact after the merge.

Real Estate

  • Real estate was merged completely onto the new server.
  • Neighborhood names may have changed in the event of duplicate names.

Banks

  • All items in your regular bank were transferred completely.
  • Shared bank items from Ragefire will appear in the item overflow window on Vox.
  • Shared bank platinum from Ragefire was combined into your shared platinum on Vox.

Overflow Items

  • If your account had any overflow items on Ragefire or Vox, they will be in the item overflow window on Vox.

Dragon’s Hoard

  • Dragon’s Hoard items went with your character to Vox.

Overseer

  • Overseer agents, experience, stats, and active quests from both servers have been combined.
  • Incapacitated agents have been recovered after the merge.

Account-wide Achievements

  • Any Account-wide achievements obtained on Ragefire but not on Vox were added to Vox.
  • If any Account-wide Achievements were obtained on both servers, the earliest date achieved of the two was kept.

Tradeskill Component Depot

  • Tradeskill Component Depot items went with your character to Mischief.
  • If the number of items in your Tradeskill Component Depot exceeded your maximum item count, you will only be able to withdraw items until dropping back below that cap.

Universal Chat

  • EverQuest’s Universal Chat system uses a separate database undergoing its own merge. After the server merge, Universal Chat may not be available immediately. As soon as its merge is complete, Universal Chat will be turned back on.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What will the server be named after the merge?
A: Since Ragefire was merged with Vox, Vox is its name.

Q: If I only have 8-character slots available on my account, but after the merge, I now have 12 characters on the server, what happens? How is it determined which characters I can access?
A: If, after the merge, your account has more characters on Vox than you have access to, the characters you cannot access will be grayed out in the character select screen. Characters are selected to fill the slots, starting with the most recently logged-in characters first. Characters created after the start of Free-To-Play are limited to the number of slots available due to membership level and purchased slots. Characters created before Free-To-Play are always available.

  • You can regain access to disabled characters by subscribing if you are Free-To-Play, purchasing additional character slots, or deleting characters from the un-grayed portion of your list.

Q: What happens if there are guild name conflicts?
A: This very rarely occurs, but there were a few guild name conflicts between Ragefire and Vox. In this case we renamed guilds on Ragefire with a conflict to have “of Ragefire” appended to their name and the guild rename flag will be enabled.
