Where in the real life world do you live? Ottawa, Canada

How long have you played EQ? Almost 3 years

What other MMOs have you played? EQ2

What type of work do you do? Information Technology

How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? 5-9 hours

What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Raiding, questing, xp groups

What was the race and class of your very first character? Iksar, Monk

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I have been playing games almost all my life since the first day you could rent Nintendo, soon after we bought one and then I went to SNES. My favorite games were Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior and other RPGs that were similar. About the time when Final Fantasy went to Playstation I stopped playing console games and went to PCs usually playing games like Descent, Quake, Doom online with friends. I never really found a good RPG until my roommate convinced me to play EverQuest.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? Used to horseback ride a lot growing up but work got in the way and I'm far from home now as they're in another province. I like to goto movies, play pool goto clubs with friends and travel!

What is your highest level in EQ? 70

What race and class is your main character? Iksar, Monk

What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? I can AFK whenever I want without the risk of dying, and everyone assumes I'm working a split (oops did I say that out loud?). Honestly I love the monk class because of our job, pulling mobs and all the crazy ways of doing it without wiping the group or raid and making sure the group/raid has fun as well by always keeping them busy. More importantly, I chose an Iksar monk because Humans are the weakest choice for the monk class, but that's just my opinion ;)

Does your main character worship a deity? The one and only, Cazic Thule

How did you choose your main character's name? I was going to choose Morden as it was my handle on IRC chat and got it from Babylon 5, but when I made my character I guess LDON was in beta and Morden Rasp was part of that so it was not approved, so I just spelled it backwords, Nedrom.

Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? All but War, SK, Bard, Enchanter, Wizard

What is your favorite expansion? Gates of Discord

What is your favorite zone? Tie between Uqua and Txevu

What is your favorite npc? Tie between Zuns from GoD and Lightning Staticfist from Omens

Which expansion do you like the least? DoN

Which zone do you like the least? PoK/Bazaar (loads too slow)

Which npc do you like the least? vampiric bats from Demi-plane (ae spin stun is not fun!)

What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? 300k, bought Holgresh Elder beads!

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? Jagged Onyx Staff from Ikkinz raid. I keep it because of it's cool graphic.

What do you like best about EverQuest? Raid content, complex pulls, making sure the raid gets to it's target in one piece. Without pulling I don't think I'd have much fun in EQ

What do you get out of playing EverQuest? It's fun to always be raiding new content and the game and just amazing that you can get 50+ people from all over the world working simultaneously on the same monster in game all at the same time. Just shows how much technology has made the world a smaller place.
I also love how you can't "win" this game, it just never ends. I always got frustrated with other games on console and PC that would end and that was it, you would have to move on to something new.

Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? Going to the Fan Faire & Summit in Vegas last summer and meeting other players from in-game. It made my first visit outside of Canada very memorable. Also it was great to meet most of the developers in person, it really gives you a different perspective of how the game works and who is behind the scenes and why they may or may not do things for the game. They truly do love the game as much as we do, a lot of people may not realize it but it's the truth! What made it a great experience was actually being able to interact and provide feedback face to face with the people who have made this game a success over the last 7 years.

Do you run or work for an EverQuest Fan Site? no

Where in the real life world do you live? London UK

How long have you played EQ? 3 1/2 - 4 years (since may 2002)

What other MMOs have you played? I played Ultima online for a couple of years before I started playing Everquest (I was even in the beta for UO before they started charging), I have also tried Everquest II and a little WoW.

What type of work do you do? I am a computer programmer for a small firm that provides software for newspapers and magazines (our product is 10 years and aging :) )

How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? 3-6 hours

What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? When i log on I usually chat to my guild for a bit and find out what's going on and where (If I don't already know from the website). This will typically be a small raid or other adventure such as an LDoN, MM or something else. Preferably something that doesn't involve sitting around in the same spot for hours on end (unless the conversation is really good during that session). One of the things I hate doing is sitting waiting for something to happen.

What was the race and class of your very first character? Human Monk

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I got involved in gaming when my dad first bought a commodore 64 and we spent hours typing in the basic commands for the provided games only to get it up and running for about 15 minutes before my mum turned the power off as we'd had enough for the day. I really started to get into gaming when I got my own PC when I started university and my mum couldn't stop me playing any more. I started getting into fantasy role playing games when I agreed to help another student with his project and eventually got drafted into a role playing game. That then lead on to on line gaming once I got a decent Internet connection, and the rest as they say is history.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? I do Tai Chi once a week and have been for the last 3 years, and participate in a couple of weekly desktop role playing games. Every Wednesday is Karaoke night at the local pub and so I obviously attend to enjoy the good singing and wince at the bad. I have also been known to write poetry on occasion. I have also been reading about 2-3 books a week for the last couple of months as I find one new author after another.

What is your highest level in EQ? It's sad to say that in my almost 4 years of playing EQ I have only managed to achive a massive level of 55

What race and class is your main character? Half Elf - Bard

What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? She is extremely versatile and I have something to do no matter what role the group wants me to play. I also have the capability to rescue an otherwise dire situation that would normally lead to a group wipe (and have on more than one occasion). Although I must confess that I make a lousy main healer, but give me a bit and I'll get my bandaging skill up :P

Does your main character worship a deity? She chose to concentrate more on her music than the prattlings of those priests (who can't even sing in tune for crying out loud)

How did you choose your main character's name? I made it up based on the role playing I've done in the past, an x was subsequently added to her name during the recent mergers and as I didn't appear to get a name change, it just got added to the name ( it still made sense)

Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? erm, Beastlord, Paladin, and Shadowknight, all the rest I played to at least lvl 3 before discarding.

What is your favorite expansion? It's a toss up between Depths of dark hollow and Lost dungeons of norath at the moment.

What is your favorite zone? You know, I don't think I have one as they are all attractive, esp. the ones I haven't visited yet.

What is your favorite npc? That would have to be Absor in the tutorial (Absor Smash... from the old boards)

Which expansion do you like the least? I would probably say Omens of War, but that's only because I've never been to any of the zones that it introduced.

Which zone do you like the least? Probably Mons Letalis because as a young bard of about lvl 25 I was exploring and accidentally wandered in there only to get hopelessly lost (before the map tool) and trounced badly. I haven't been back yet to take my revenge, so until I do it's at the bottom of the list.

Which npc do you like the least? You know that goblin that sits on the rock in butcherblock mountains, no not that rock the other rock, no, to your left a bit, that's the one. That's the npc I hate the most.

What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? 800pp

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I have several, my newbie armour from lvl 10 to 20, why, because it was such a pain to get it all that I can't really go around destroying it, and until I can find a way to give it to someone that deserves it, I'll keep it.

What do you like best about EverQuest? The players, if it wasn't for the players the game wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable as it is.

What do you get out of playing EverQuest? I get to chat to the people in my guild (most of whom live in America) and play around with them in a game we all enjoy.

Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? That would probably be the wedding I attended on Sunday between Diarra and Lazurwin. I use the term wedding loosly as she was really claiming ownership of him (both dark elves, what do you expect) and the party afterwards. However I have loads of good memories of EQ, that's just the one that shines brightest at the moment. However the best experience I've had involving EQ is attending the Fan faire last year and meeting the people from my guild and also the board halflings :)

Do you run or work for an EverQuest Fan Site? Nope, completely independent me. To be honest I probably don't know enough about the game to be able to run a site about EQ.
