Meet the Guild

Celestial Temple

Server: Firiona Vie
Guild Leader's Name: Dryea

How did your guild name get chosen?
I am not sure.

Are you the original leader of the guild?
No, Celestial Temple was inactive for a time.

When did your guild come into existence?
When the members of the guild wanted to preserve the structure the original leader reactivated the guild for us. CT was reborn and has been growing since.

Do you have a website dedicated for your guild?
We do have a guildportal web site: celestialtemple.guildportal.com

How many members do you have in your guild?
At this time 171 members.

What kind of ranking system do you have? Is there much opportunity for advancement within the guild?
We do have guild titles. The titles come with age (levels). Often we will promote a shining star to officer. We believe the blood in the guild should keep flowing.

What are your current recruiting goals?
We are working to find a few more healers to help take the guild into raiding. But our main outlook is to keep the guild a positive and fun place to enjoy Norrath.

Does your guild have a 'charter' and other rules that you abide by to help hold the team together?
Absolutely. We maintain a current version of our charter on our website.

What are some benefits that your guild offers that other guilds don't?
We are aligned with a raiding organization call Oasis. Any CT member is invited and encouraged to join in. We also have a leader that will spam any afk'ers with her Mug of Endless Fan Faire. Yes, this is a running joke that CT has the best Alcohol level. It keeps the laughter going.

Does your guild exist in other games?
No

What type of guild do you have, i.e.: family, casual raiders, hardcore raider, etc.?
CT is a family guild. We may raid to help with an epic or just for fun but family first!!!

What content are you currently working on in the game?
Most of the higher levels are working on TBS faction. But for the most part just enjoying what is offered.

Is role playing an important aspect for your guild?
No

Can you go through some of your great battles and quests you've conquered as a guild?
With CT being a family guild the great battles are left to the raiders of Norrath.

Who would you say is the toughest battle you have encountered?
I would have to say The Fabled Dragon Faydar in Emerald Jungle. What started out as a group quest turned out to be the hardest but also most amusing battle. Between the stun, fear, drunk effect and lets not forget the summon our small raid force didn't have a chance. But that did not stop us from trying it two more times.

What is the most exciting event you can recall with your guild. Something that makes you think back and say to yourself, "This is why I play this game..."
I wouldn't say event, but it was my birthday and I was having a very rough day. One of my guildies found out that I was having a rough time and rallied the rest of the guild together to make ice cream, cake and even gather plat for a birthday present. To have experience that kind of compassion from people who you never met in person but share the same love... one for EQ and the guild, made me proud and happy to be apart of something so wonderful.

What has been the best expansion for the guild?
The Buried Sea with the fellowship and the new quests it has brought excitement to the guild.

What advice might you give to people just starting out with a new guild or planning to start one?
Make sure you start with a wonderful support team for officers. If you don't have the support getting your guild off the ground will be a rough and long road.

What makes your guild unique?
You know no matter what you can log on and find something to laugh and make you know why you are in CT.
