Legends of Norrath and raiding- Can't we all get along?
I have seen a few posts about players getting frustrated that LoN is distracting focused Raid attempts and even smaller group outings. We did discuss this initially and we came to the conclusion that it is much easier to treat the players as adults than to put training wheels on LoN. Meaning, if you decide to raid with someone that you do not know, there are inherent risks associated with it. One such risk could be needing said "unknown player" to help and they are playing LoN instead.

Some players would like to have an icon or some indication that players are playing LoN but that is not the direction we want to take the game. I would suggest that all players take the time to know who they are playing with and make sure that LoN rules are clear in critical situations.

Dice, Dice, I need some dice over here!
The dice will be rolling out in the update tomorrow. I am sure that the players will have a good time with them. For those of you that were not at this years Fan Faire maybe next year! You will see players with their own Stones of Fortune being used to get random buffs.

Did I lose a claim item around here somewhere? Hey there is a new claim window!
In an effort to support the LoN roll out that is happening this week, we redesigned the claim window. Now you should find it much easier to use. I hope that now everyone will be able to find all of their claimables and hopefully give CS a little break. Also, I want to be sure to clarify that this is a new window that handles claim items only. Please do not confuse it with a new item window.

I run EQ in 1600x1200 on my main machine and 1024x768 on the other 5 boxes!!!
There is a change to the resolution options in the latest update. You now need to be in full screen mode to change your resolution size under the options menu. While in windowed mode, you can simply drag the window border to re-size the window.

I had the day off and the server was down, what gives?!?
Yesterday we had to bring down the FV server to get in a hotfix to some of the loot drops tied to LoN. Firiona Vie has a special rule set and it generally allows players to trade items that are normally no trade on other servers. That is a specific setting that must be set and it was overlooked. That means that players were able to trade LoN redeemed loot on FV. Once this was pointed out to the development team we made an immediate fix. I apologize for the downtime and assure you that the change to LoN loot on FV was the only change that made it in yesterday.

Our end desire is to have LoN be uniform across all servers and all games. Having the rule set be unique on FV was an oversight and required a fix. We appreciate your understanding and we are glad that we caught in the Beta phase prior to Live launch.

Raids are waiting for the foolish and brave alike!!!
We are already starting with the Raid tuning on the Secrets of Faydwer expansion. A special thank you goes out to those players for taking the time to work with the developers on these insanely difficult challenges. I am sure that you will all learn quite a bit about the next expansion but I can assure you that we will have a few surprises for you right after launch.

Secrets of Faydwer- Unfolding the Lore Series
In an effort to help players understand the expansion better, the EQ designers have been working with community to get out all of the lore from the next expansion. I would recommend that you all go check out the latest update in the series. It is a cool insight to the work that we put into the design of each zone and storyline and it also has screenshots from the next expansion for you to check out.

Is it a bird, is it a plane, noooooo it is the new LaunchPad!
As you all know now, we made the move and many of you are pleased. With everything we as devs do there were good comments and not so good comments but it was an overwhelming success. You should notice faster download times and more functionality as well. We are enjoying it from our end and we actually look forward to update days now. (I know, I know, I probably just jinxed myself but hey, it is working and the team loves it. What else can I say?)
