Best Groupable Loot for 60's – Discussion started by Community Member caber1
What few zones really have the best loot or very good loot? There are 6 of us, all level 60'ish (58-63).

Separate Guild banker for 1K+ Guilds – Discussion started by Community Member Ssliasil_Tunare
I make this topic because I am a member of Ohana Pau'ole, one of EQ's largest Guild (1960) and we have a horrid problem with keeping the Guild Bank clear, with so many players its virtually impossible to keep it satisfactory. I know other large guilds on other servers have the same Problem and I think it would be cool if SOE added a second, but separate Guild banker in the Hall; not like we have now with two bankers linked to the same Bank. Just a thought!

Thoughts on Guild Tools – Discussion started by Community Member Stewy
I'd like to share some thoughts on Guild Tools. I've been running guilds for 12 years now, in six different games (Meridian59, UO, EQ1, EQ2, WoW and Vanguard). Well didn't run one in WoW but I saw the tools there. So I've gotten a little flavor of Guild Tools from other games and have a wish list and reasoning behind the list I'd like to share. It is my hope that some day the archaic EQ1 Guild Tools will match the wonderful EQ2 Guild Tools, but I'd take a few improvements to start. I did a search that went back into 2004 and didn't see this specific topic, so please forgive me if this is redundant. Also I am putting in parentheses which game the idea came from if it previously existed. Why? To show hold old some GOOD ideas are that have yet to be incorportated into EQ1 - sadly. These are in no certain order.

#1 - Guild Member Login/Logout messages and a filter (M59) - I want to see when my fellow members log in and out - the filter is for large guilds where you might not want the spam.

#2 - Editable Guild Member Ranks (M59, EQ2) - When you started a guild in M59 you could name your guild ranks. EQ2 took this a step further where you could rename/edit them through time. And I think it's about time EQ1 comes out of the dark ages and has more than 3 ranks. M59 even had 5-6 ranks. Also these ranks should show up when you do a /guildstatus. Stewwy Von'Kaiser is the Guild Leader of Asa-Tru with the rank of Grandmaster of Truth

#3 - Editible levels of guild access based on rank (EQ2) - In EQ2 each rank could have different levels of access from being able to talk in Guild Chat to being able to officer powers like changing member ranks or even disbanding the guild.

#4 - Expanded Guild Bank (EQ2) - EQ2 has 4 Guild Banks (or more now for all I know, been a while since I played EQ2) - each could be edited to only receive certain types of items. Others could only have items removed from it by members of certain ranks, yadda - all of this was editable by the Guild Leader or whoever was in charge of the bank. But most importantly the Guild Manager Tool kept track of every item going in or being removed from the bank and who did the bank transaction.

#5 - Customizable/Unique Guild Halls (M59, EQ2) - In M59 Guild Halls were unique, in EQ2 there were no official Guild Halls, but big guilds would buy 5 room houses (or largeer now if there are larger houses) and outfit them to their own flavor. There is SO much lost potential in the Guild Hall, that could be realized with some customization.

#6 - Instanced Arena off the Guild Hall (MUD I played) - Wanna fight your buddy? Well go to the Guild Hall Arena through one of the doors up the stairs.

#7 - Direct Path to the Bazaar - One of the upstairs doors should go directly to the Bazaar

#8 - All Guild Functions from Anywhere (most games)- I think it's about time I as a guild leader don't have to be in the same zone to invite someone to the guild or give them a promotion.

#9 - Offline Guild Invite/Toggle - If an applicant has passed our entrance process we should be able to send them an offline invite and there should be a toggle to turn off offline guild invites (default)

As EQ is about groups of individuals and the vehincle to get together is the guild then the guild should have much more flexibility and much greater functionality in the EQ world of today.

Just my opinion - what do you think?
