Does your Raid Leader utter impieties like a sailor? – Discussion started by Community Member Thebobo
Please NO text examples or names… But when things go wrong or someone oops, does your RL act like that Kid in that video of the German kid destroying his keyboard or is it more a mature and reasonable discourse?

Revamp the Bazaar system! save the trees! – Discussion started by Community member GettiLee
I'm thinking about various ways to save some energy, life of your hardware (pc's), bandwidth (for SOE and for the boxing folk), and lag of the bazaar at times. So what I propose is a new system where we don't have to be logged in to sell or trade our goods. Not only would this save the things mentioned, it would also be easier to prevent hacking and 3rd party programs.

Personally I only build a new pc when I absolutely have to, and lately my last pc is getting a bit overworked with how each expansion gets more demanding it seems. It's come to the point now that I haven't ran a trader in forever (even though I have 2 character banks full of stuff to trade) that I just don't want to push the old PC any further.

Side Money - So how do you pay for EQ? – Warped discussion started by Community Member Email
We all know EQ costs money, from our internet connection, to computer upgrades, to the subscription itself (and the occasional LoN pack). Well I think I finally figured out a way to earn some side money that my spouse cannot argue with of being *mine*.

Plasma Donation: Our local one will pay $35 for new donors, $45 + $5 bonus the first week and after that $20 then $40 for the following weeks.

So two days out of every week, you can earn an extra $60 - and yes it's taxable so $60 x 0.65 = $39 per week extra that you would not normally get.

Raiding and grouping: a different path, a different commitment – Discussion started by Community Member k9wazere
The group game needs to a series of challenges of increasing difficulty. Not a series of camps of increasing length. Named need to be much more frequent at all levels of the group game. In each play session, I should be able to see 2 or 3 named in an hour. Yes, that many.

If people want to devote all their time to 1 character, then the raid game allows you to far surpass the power of any group geared player. In other words, raiding is already there for people who want to be the best of the best. There aren't many people who play for hours and hours and only group anyhow. I know there are a couple on this forum, but they aren't the norm.

Let's take out the long camps from the group game. The raid game doesn't have long camps, and the raid game already has better gear. I'm not arguing for better gear in the group game; not arguing for group gear to match raid gear.

In the next expansion, I'd love to be able to gear 3 or 4 chars to the best group standard; in the time it takes for 1 raid player to equip himself to the best raid standard.
