Molleah Finnegan

Server: Druzzil Ro
Guild: Tenacity
Level 84, Froglok Shadowknight

Q. How do you feel about winning the Miss Norrath title?

A. It's a grand honour! I have only been playing the game for four or five months and the support shown from the other players of Druzzil Ro Server was exceptional as well as those that voted from other servers. I have to say my guild-mates from Tenacity went over and above while campaigning and I received massive support from other guilds and other Frogloks which was absolutely lovely.

Q. What did you think about other submissions or entrants? Do you have specific character images you liked?

A. I am very partial to the Froglok race and the picture of the boy Froglok sitting on a barrel was very cute. Everyone did a splendid job with the pictures and all of the contestants really stood out. It was, I am sure, a hard contest to 'call'.

Q. Why do you think your character was selected as a finalist and voted as the winner?

A. Perhaps it was the pink armor that stood out like an Easter egg? Maybe it was her helmet which, in retrospect, does quite look like she has a pink iron sitting atop her head, as a guild-mate of mine told me. I am not sure but I do know she's one cute frog and has tons of personality.

Q. Why do you think that you were selected as a finalist by SOE employees and were selected as a winner by your community players?

A. As I 'said' above, it might just be that she's adorable and has really becoming armor. She's pretty personable too.

Q. Please tell us about your froglok character? Are you fond of frogs?

A. I have always loved frogs in general. They have the funny characteristics that make me smile. Their little bloated belly, fat little legs on top that go on down to skinny shins and huge feet...very comical looking. Sort of the clown of the amphibian kingdom.

Q. How did you obtain your pink costume?

A. Quirky, as Frogs are, wearing pink seemed to be the best choice for a Froglok Shadow Knight. It is simply the opposite of what you'd expect and therefore she doesn't look like a snake about to strike!

Q. Do you think your personality is similar to the character or the opposite? If so, how?

A. I have been told by other friends who play EQ I am exactly like Molleah. Quirky and sometimes silly and almost always fun!

Q. What did you think about the forum challenge for Mr. and Miss Norrath? How was your overall experience?

A. I thought it a great idea and found it to be a fun side quest for me, to campaign, etc...The experience was great and I was able to meet some great people online.

Q. Who did you tell first when you found out you were the winner?

A. I think I was told I won by another guild-mate to be honest. I knew the contest was over on a certain date but wasn't sure if voting was still going on that day and didn't really realise I had won until I was told.

Q. What do you like about EverQuest?

A. I have to say it's a pretty engaging game. I almost quit the game in the first week because I couldn't figure out how to move the character around and I was frustrated but eventually I got the hang of it. I like that it sort of brings people together from all different walks of life and tosses them into the same pot and they have to interact toward common goals. The questing is really fun and overall I think I'll be playing a long time.

Q. What is your favorite game style?

A. I have to say playing a raid character would be my favourite. I do like trade skills but I like the actual raiding the best. As I said before, it's pretty amazing that people from all over the world who are different ages and backgrounds can get together and form a strategy toward a goal and then actually have it work. All sight unseen and no one actually 'knowing' anyone else.

Q. Does your character have a background story? If so, please share it with us.

A. As a tadpole, Molleah was found in Crescent Reach by a kindly bar keep and his wife, Ian and Sinead Finnegan. She had become separated from her parents, while there buying supplies, and had wandered off almost as far as the moors. Raising her as one of their own, she grew to full Froglok and went looking for adventure.

She came upon a High Elf, a Wood Elf and a Dwarf who took her under their collective wings and basically threw her into the world of high adventure and questing! After much teaching and learning she was accepted into one of the local guilds, Tenacity, and has lived amongst the raiders ever since then. She was also accepted into a really excellent Fellowship, The Mischievous Miscreants who are all members of Tenacity. Snuffelious, Xandriax, Fenudwin, Kiliana, Bamurien, Dynae, Mintalee and Florencia are family away from family.

Molleah goes back to visit Gukta every once in a while to try to locate her parents, but with so many other tadpoles coming and going, no one can really remember the one that had become lost years before. As a group, the Frogloks are a pretty nice bunch and always make her welcome with a warm tent and plenty of food and drink but she always has that itch to return to the city and to join up with her friends and roam the countrysides. She's simply a city-frog at heart.

Q. Please leave a comment to your community!

A.Hello All! It was fabulous to win this contest and to have all the help and support toward that goal. Thank you Tenacity! and thank you Druzzil Ro!

Congratulations Molleah and thank you for the great interview!
