There are 10 easy steps. I have tried this on a couple of different UI's and has fixed all I have tried it on. Make sure to only copy/paste the correct portions into the correct files..

You will not evade me - Discussion started by community member Delbaeth
Summoning in EverQuest is a jarring experience visually and most especially to one's sense of immersion in the world of Norrath. The mob decides it wants you and you appear at its feet, hardly something which makes sense for anything short of a god and even the gods of classical myths and stories never do such a thing. It makes no sense as part of the game simulation, only as a fix for important issues of game balance. Summoning lets the melee monster actually fight the players instead of run around in circles dieing to spells and range attacks. It is a substitute for the vastly harder problem of making computer controlled opponents handle range and terrain in a realistic and challenging manner. After all, it is amazing that a computer run game can be as fun as EverQuest is and accepting limitations like summoning, warping and the contrived way aggro works goes with having a computer run the show.

We are stuck with summoning but do please consider a couple things to make it less annoying.

No-Trade Item Suggestion – Idea shared by Community Member Australianman
In the future would it be feasible to create a tag for the No Trade items that would say something like "Transfer Only" or something like that. What I am meaning is so much No Trade stuff rots because most people don't feel it is worth their time to run an alt there to loot said item. Any looted No Trade item that a player acquires with this new tag could be "transferred" to any of their OWN alts through the Shared Bank.

They will still be unsellable, for instance any of the expansion in-game rewards we received and /claimed on a specific toon we no longer use we could move it to an alt that would "use" it. I have been deep in zones and have seen certain No Trade items drop that noone wanted that I knew would be great for one of my alts. The argument can be said "well then get a mage to Coth your alt to loot" or "It's a balance issue" etc.

I am pretty sure the No Drop/No Trade tag was added to stop players from giving items to pets and selling the item to other players. If the item is being transferred through ONLY our own shared bank and is still unable to be sold or given to pets to use then I see no harm in that. The higher end gear still mostly has a rec/req lvl on them to use/equip. I just HATE seeing stuff rot is all.

Solo for a Wizard – Discussion started by Community Member Tartracheon
Please excuse me if this sounds like a "noob" question but I have been gone for 2 years and I'm finding ALOT has changed. I would love to be able to solo my 68 Wizard in EQ but the traditional "tank and spank" strategy does not work in EQ. Any advice on best ways to solo a Wizard without killing myself would be great.

I have tried kiting mobs but my Fetter spell only seems to stick for 10 seconds and then the mob is free again and I find myself running low on mana and getting hit for 2K a pop and with my cloth armor it doesn't take long for me to end up in Guild Lobby lolol

Would appreciate any advice. Are there any new spells that work really good to root the target and slow them WAY down ???

What's the best Race/Class for Solo play? - Discussion started by Community Member gthez
It has been a long time since I played this MMO...circa ruins of K. I'm sure a lot has changed since then. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what Race/Class combo would make for the best Solo? Thanks in advance for your response.
