Book of Legends- Forever immortal you shall be in the Book of Legends...
We are planning on getting the Book of Legends into the game in the next server update. With Beta opening right after FF, we have been super busy getting everything prepared for that. I wanted to say "Thank You" for everyone that registered for the book and look for the next time it will be available if you were unable to make it to Fan Faire this year. Look for an update once the Book has made its way into the game and make sure you check for your name.

Fan Faire Items- I want my Dice!!!
We are just about to hand out the Fan Faire items for those who registered while attending Fan Faire. I really hope that you all enjoy them and I am looking forward to seeing a few posts with your feedback.

SoF Beta News- New and exciting content for those of you that dare...
We have had an amazing turnout for the initial Beta opening. For those of you that made it in, Congratulations! We are working with many of you to help out with Raid content so I am sure that you are either in touch with the EQ designers or will be soon.

We are currently doing base population and quest testing each day so the more players the better. The EQ designers can be found on the message boards trying to recruit players to join the Beta so be a part of the next expansion early on!!! Join the Beta!

For those of you that have not made it in, keep an eye open for the next opening. I will make sure that we get the word out prior to the next open window.

I am also working on some cool giveaways for people that participate in Beta. A few tokens of appreciation from the team to you the players that help us with making this long Beta (3 months) into a great expansion for everyone else in November.

Legends of Norrath- I'll trade you a booster pack for a loot drop!?!
For those of you that are participating in the Beta I hope that you are having a great time. We have seen a huge uptake in the game by people that attended Fan Faire and I am happy to say that people are really starting to unlock the potential of the game. It really is a deep game with layers of strategy and people are still in the early stages of realizing every angle.

We are planning on rolling this out in the next few weeks for the remaining players so everyone can enjoy the game! We also will be unlocking the booster pack drops on NPC's in the game once it goes Live. It is a nice way for you to get some LoN rewards while you are out adventuring. Since the card drops are not tied to a specific NPC it is a nice reward to get for just playing the game as you normally would.

I know that some of you are really looking forward to this and others seem indifferent. Either way, I would suggest giving it a try and then make your call. The guys at SOE-Denver put a lot of time into it and it really is a great game. The cards are straight out of EQ and EQII and the questing in it is cool. It has raids, cool loot, weapons, spells and items... how could you go wrong?

The "Infamous" West Bug...
So I have to admit that this is a tricky situation. For every player that has sent in "constructive" feedback on the West bug, we have assigned people in both our QA and Compatibility departments to duplicate the problem. We have been able to reproduce it but it is seemingly random and the time it takes to reproduce has made it very challenging to replicate it for the programmers that would actually handle the fix. (We have seen it so we do believe all of you; we just haven't been able to reproduce it multiple times on a developer's machine). Join the West Bug Reproduction Feedback thread on the board where I will be asking that those of you who would like to offer help with this bug will be able to enter a few critical bits of information that will help us narrow down the issue.

Look for the thread and please only enter the requested information. I am going to ask that community moderate that thread heavily since we really want to nail this bug. With that being said, if you want to discuss other things about the West bug "good or bad", please feel free to post in the pre-existing West Bug feedback thread.

Solteris Stability Issue
We have designers looking into what is causing the instability in Solteris. What we have found so far points to the instability being caused by processing load and we have been making changes to the zone to try and limit the resources it uses. This is an issue that we are taking very seriously and something we are continuing to work on.

What about all of the other zone stability issues?
I spoke with the programming staff today about the zone stability problems and discussed possible reasons and solutions. We have a few items that we can look into and will see if that makes a dent in the issue. We are aware of the stability problems and I do apologize for any downtime that occurs while you are playing. We will continue to work on every angle we can to solve these problems.

Item window, oh item window where did you go???
We had to make some changes to the item window to take into account additional information that needs to be displayed. I have heard from many of you that you either love it or hate it. "Yes I have actually heard from people that they like the new window...". We are discussing making changes to the window based on feedback that we have received, but we do not have a scheduled time for these changes. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are paying attention to your feedback and we are treating the window as a work in progress.
