Battle Arenas in EQ – Discussion started by Community Member Artillian-VZ
Why not put a battle arena in EQ? It could be cross server also. Could have a group go in get a task from the NPC pick what they would like zone into a another instance the other team does the same… could be the same for single PVP also if they like or even raid.

Old zones could be used too like Crushbone or Blackburrow. The reason I bring this up is it's another idea to give to the player. I mean come on how many sit in the guild hall and do nothing? Wouldn't you like to test your skills against players and see where you stand and earn points?

The whole idea around this is to give the player another thing to do… not just raid and wait till the next expansion to come.

Customizable Guild Halls – Discussion started by Community Member quseio
I wanted to ask why doesn't EQ have customizable guild hall /apartments? EQ2 has it. What's so different about EQ2 in this regard? Even if it was minor like guild colors and our logo that'd be better than nothing.

It could open up new tradeskills, carpenter, mason and whatever else. Would be nice to not just customize the current look but have a zone you change however you want say we want it outside looking area or creepy and haunted looking.

Could put new drops in the game; trophies from mobs you could hang on the wall be it heads, or weapons, or a set of armor.

Guild leaders/officers could get the option to change the look have a preview they can take a screenshot of and people could offer suggestions.

To prevent abuse have guilds have levels like they do in EQ2 the higher the level the more changes can be made.

Gear Upgrades – Discussions started by Community Member Odiosus
So I am sure this has been asked before, but a friend of mine and I recently returned to EQ. We are both playing 3 toons and have a solid group to exp and hunt with. My question is around gear upgrades. We have basically acquired the best gear the bazaar has to offer for our level (all 65 currently to catch up on AA's). As an example, the rogue is wearing level 65 cultural with augments, and wielding a fearpoint and a bejeweled parrypoint. I have never seen a better piercer for sale in the bazaar. In searching through Alla's, I have been unable to find any gear upgrades for her at her current level. I was just wondering if there are zones that our group of 6 (level 65 minimal AA's) could obtain upgrades that are better than the bazaar gear? Any info is appreciated.

Raid Gear – Discussion started by Community Member Diet_Canada
I think one of the main problems for raid casters is gear has been ignored and most the effects such as ft, and focus have been capped out since about pop(heck even things like mana augs have been capped out since about anguish). no need to get into it all but between rk3s and about a 10% focus advantage, there isn't really much power gained between the average raid caster vs your average casual(especially considering the t3-t4 zones) making many wonder what's the point in raiding other than to get rk3 spells?

The last dev chat i think even Prathun mentioned there will most likely be some kind of gear to help the melee vs caster problem

I was thinking other than the obvious spell cleave x , what else could devs add to help make raid gear more helpful to casters?

A few ideas:
-Heroic ft (hey it worked for luclin)
- Some 30 sec refresh clickies, clickies are probably to much for Merloc to handle with working with the LoN team and all so i would just dedicate one or 2 spot to for every caster item and come up with some damage x system just like for melee aug procs and continue that every expansion.
- Spell procs
- Something to help just the non crit portion of spells a bunch. looking at my parsing logs about half my damage is from crits, sometimes more depending how the wretched RNG system goes. Having some kind of effect that ups the damage on the spells that work more of often probably would be even a bigger help than even spell cleave would help out with.
- Resist help
-Of course adding Spell cleave to all TSS and up caster primaries.

Anyways can do other stuff but gear could use work on the raid caster end so it means a little more than just manapools. I don't think casuals need nerfing either, they seem about where they should be. Think the bigger problem is raid gear isn't improving raiders as much as it should. considering where raid melee damage is at these days and where casuals casters are(especially with t3-t4 group stuff) , there is a nice buffer to add really good effects to most TSS+ raid caster gear so there is more reason for casters to actually want to raid! As it is now the need for raiding for casters is probably at its lowest point ever! Should really look into it devs.
