It’s time for my last Producer’s Letter of 2025. My first order of business is to remind everyone that fundraising is underway for Extra Life! We are already over $48K towards our $115K goal this year, and I have no doubt we will surpass that goal with ease as you are all exceedingly generous and caring when it comes to children in need. We have some wonderful group, individual, and fundraiser incentives. And be sure to check out the Extra Life Guide for how to join Team Darkpaw if you have not done so yet. Thank you to those of you who have already donated or started fundraising; you should have received your keys if you met any of the incentive amounts by August 31. If you haven't seen your keys, please reach out to Extra Life Support. 
 
The following is a quick recap of the happenings since my July Producer's Letter. Some annual events returned, such as Scorched Sky bonuses, Death, Death, Death, and Living Legacy Raids. We’ve also had monthly unlocks for expansion Posters on the Darkpaw Storefront and Wallpaper downloads. Also, I cannot forget that July also saw Ragefire merge into Vox. And finally, we had a Krono Purchase Promotion where one could get a Visage of a Blood Raven with every Krono purchase. 
 
August saw the return of the Gigantic and Big Bag Bundles and a plethora of familiars made their return in the Cat in a Bag, Dog in a Crate, Bird in a Cage Promo. The annual Stone Cold Summer quests and Labor Day Experience events were run, and multiple bundles of Claws of Veeshan expansion items were put into the Marketplace for a limited time. 
 
September had Marcia Attamilgad briefly making her return with Talk Like a Pirate Day which was extended to a week this year, Fall Fun events have begun, and The Outer Brood is discounted 25% until our new expansion comes out! Not to mention the various unlocks across multiple servers.

Coming up, we have Fall Fun 3, an XP bonus beginning on October 7th, then followed by Nights of the Dead where the things that go bump in the night come alive to haunt Norrath. Of course, our Champion’s Festival will be back to honor EverQuest II’s 21st Anniversary with some new content; Feast of Giving will make its return with some nice bonuses, and I can’t forget about Raid, Raid, Raid! Plus, Santug Glugg will be making his appearance in Frostfell along with all his goblins and elves to celebrate the holiday. And finally, Extra Life game day and bonus week and a slew of unlocks across multiple TLPs! We also have a new Deity Heritage Crate unlocking in October. Here is a sneak peek at what the Rodcet Nife Heritage Crate will have in it!

Now, to get to what you’ve all been waiting for, this year’s expansion!  The name of our 32nd expansion is Shattering of Ro! Let me set the stage for what those three words really mean for all the souls in Norrath... 
 
Druzzil Ro has been murdered! Now that I have your attention, let me explain.  

A cataclysmic explosion has shattered the Plane of Magic, killing Druzzil Ro, and the only survivor is Firiona Vie. The Burning Prince, Solusek Ro blames Firiona Vie and all mortals for causing Druzzil Ro's death. No one can be sure while Firiona lies unconscious in the Plane of Growth. But Solusek Ro is done with waiting, for he has suffered his final indignity with Druzzil Ro's murder. His rage burns hotter than it has in centuries, and his wrath will ignite the planes! 

Now, with magic itself sundered and storms of unstable magical energy sweeping across both Norrath and the planes, Solusek Ro seeks to end the pact that has protected mortals since their birth, and he’s already gained support. Who are his allies? Who among the gods will rally their followers to aid in stopping them? Will you heed the call to help or hinder? 

 

Beta and pre-order for Shattering of Ro will begin at 10:00 A.M. PT on October 7, 2025.
